Description: Carbonaceous silts and minor carbonates; massive clays with minor sand and silt layers.
Comments: Included in the Murray Group stratigraphic scheme by Lawrence (1966), retained through the various revisions of the Murray Group up to Murray Supergroup; and is now included in the reinstated Murray Group in South Australia. The revision of the Murray Group stratigraphy by Lukasik and James (1999) upgrading to Murray Supergroup, included this unit in its definition, along with Ettrick and Winnambool Formations.
